Short terms for a small tool. The theme throughout: this is a self-reflection toy built on a symbolic tradition, offered free, with no promises about outcomes.

1. What this is

Still and Deep is a free website that computes a Chinese birth chart (BaZi, the Four Pillars) from the birth details you enter, and generates a written reading of that chart using a language model. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Entertainment and self-reflection only

• The site is provided for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only.
• It is not a prediction service. Nothing on it states, implies, or should be read as claiming that anything will happen to you.
• BaZi is a symbolic tradition, not a science. We make no accuracy claims, have no studies, and publish none.

3. Not professional advice

Nothing generated here is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or any other kind of professional advice. In particular: do not make health, pregnancy, relationship, career, or money decisions based on a reading. If a passage reads like advice, it is a writing pattern, not a recommendation — consult a qualified professional for anything that matters.

4. AI-generated content

• Readings are produced by a language model from your chart alone. It can be vague, repetitive, or wrong, and it knows nothing about you beyond eight characters.
• General descriptions tend to feel personally accurate — that is a known effect of broad statements, not evidence of insight. We say this plainly rather than quietly benefit from it.
• Charts themselves are computed by deterministic code, verified field by field against independent implementations — that part is meant to be correct; the reading is meant to be interesting.

5. Who may use the site

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK, or the age required by your local law) to use the site. There is no registration, so we do not verify age — but the terms require that minors use it only with a parent or guardian’s consent.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not try to break the rate limits, circumvent them, or automate bulk requests.
• Do not scrape the site, resell access to it, or use it to build a competing or derivative AI service.
• Do not use the site for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass, or defraud anyone.
• Rate limiting applies to everyone and is enforced automatically (see the privacy policy for how IP addresses are handled).

7. Availability and changes

• The site is provided free, in an early state, as is — with no uptime commitment. It may be slow, unavailable, or discontinued at any time.
• Features may change without notice. If the longer report ever becomes paid, that will be stated on the site before any checkout exists, and these terms will be updated accordingly.

8. Intellectual property

The site’s text, design, and code belong to the operator of Still and Deep. You may read, share links to, and quote short excerpts of the public pages with attribution. Your own generated readings are yours to keep and share; we claim no rights over them and store no copies.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and its outputs are provided without warranties of any kind, and the operator is not liable for any decisions you make or losses you incur in connection with your use of the site. If applicable law does not allow some of this, liability is limited to the smallest amount that law permits — which, given that the service is free, is in practice nothing.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the operator’s place of establishment. The operator currently operates as an individual; the jurisdiction and legal entity will be specified here once formalised. Disputes will first be addressed by good-faith discussion — write to the contact address below.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the service does. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
